Thank you sawyer well I have some more to come been busy last week welded up the struts and mocked up a front end.
Got the welder set up nice and heigh was happy with this bit of welding even got a 6mm piece of steel to turn gold
Also bent up some bars and run another piece of 100x50 box section across to make a start on the bulkhead
Looks seriously wide now but I love it
Will get another set of these bent up longer so they will line up with my dash brace and then I will make a filler plate out of 2mm steel should give the front some serious strength
Things then started hearing up picked this bad boy up for £200 and pulled it home 60 miles with the pimpsat
Car number 4 mk1 Honda CR-V 2.0 litre manual
Next morning I striped every thing needed from this engine, prop, diff, gears selector and a few other bits that might come in handy
Engine out
Striped any thing I didn't need of power steering, air con, inlet and exhaust manifold . You may be wondering where the mini went well that had a little trip to the corner of my street for the day. Had to re fit the shell as I was stuck for space. Good job I put casters on my trolley but I will say the handling was shocking
After I got the crv out of the way a few hours later it would have been rood not to test fit the motor
First test fit of the b20
Ran into a few problems will have a few hours in the week trying to get the engine fitting tighter will also get some better picks up

just read this through - some serious fabbing going on! I know it won't be an issue with all the power potential but there will be quite a bit of extra weight won't there? Great work, good photos.

Was only chatting to my wife about a mad mini. But she said it wouldn't be safe enough... so i said how about a vtec 4wd spaceframe.... she kinda looked at me funny as to say urm yeh.... so your build has been shown to her once or twice showing the strength.
And because its flipping cool.
Another following.
Ooh what welder have you got by the way... 6mm plate gold is proper power.
