I'm restoring my MPI too. Could you do me a favour and take a picture under the rear seat..? I didn't take any of mine and I don't know if there was brushable sealant between the seat base and the heel board. I know there was on the bottom join with the floor...

ts!

Not much of an update from last weekend, but the engine bay is slowly getting emptier.......

Soooo, it been a little while longer than I had originally planned, but whilst off work last week (using my holiday up!) I managed to make some fairly significant progress with the strip down......

There is actually a lot less rust than I was expecting if I'm honest.

Hopefully won't be long until the engtine is out and the shell will be going off for repair.

Time for some repair/restoration of the smaller parts and you can all expect some more regular updates from this point forwards......

Sooo, having recently accepted a new job that will see me moving back up north (and nearer the Mini), combined with the realisation it had been over a year since I’d done anything to it, this happened over the weekend.......

Subframe, bulkhead etc is in much better condition than I expected.

Hopefully the rear subframe will be off this weekend......
