I've never been able to put a picture on here....." too large" is always the result, very annoying and  prevents me from offering much if anything for sale.

2 mb is mentioned as the max but what does that mean? My pictures aren't classed in mbs, but they're 1920 high 1080 wide. What do I need to make them please?

Upload them to photobucket then copy the img code.

As above create a photo bucket account, upload the pictures and copy and paste the IMG code into your post. You can get photo resizers to reduce the size of your photos.

Ok, thanks all. Seems I'll have to move into this century and do the photobucket thing. Others have suggested that. Not very good at that sort of thing but I'll get there. Will investigate Anthony's too

Now the size of my writing has gone tiny, more issues :shy:

ps, I'd still like to know what size pics need to be    ???? X ???? such as when resizing in the 'paint' section on computer

Look at the file size using your computer's file system. Right clicking and selecting properties, or information, will also work with most operating systems. There is no fixed pixel size as it will be viewed on devices with various screen resolutions. Use as small as you can get away with to show the detail you want. There are tools to resize & crop in Photobucket, and I'm sure most other places online that you can host them.
