I use Heritage insurance, unfortunately you do have to be transparent with all the major mods. When I started down the Zcars route I put together a budget with description and value and used this as a list of mods when applying for insurance. Heritage are fairly cheap and do a limited mileage policy.

I had my Z-Cars mini insured with Adrian Flux with no problems.

I used Sureterm Direct 0800 1313 780 last year £205 fully comp with an agreed value of £25000.
The company knew about the car so no major explanations required, mileage limited to 3000.
Regards Don

What a nightmare it's turning out to be getting insurance I must have rang 10 companies and they all had to refer it to there underwriters and not 1 has called me bk it's been 10 days so I think I will have to start again I did get 1 quote of £750 off aidrian flux I think that's a bit steep I am 28 live in decent area with 5 years no claims no convictions with limited milage at 3000 a year does anybody else think that's too much

All the usual insurers should be able to help but it will be worth putting the full spec on an email to them. That way you only have to write it out once. Sometimes it takes a while for them to check with their underwriters on less mainstream stuff.

Not really, before I 40 was paying over £400 with 15years no claims, once I turned 40 it came down by over 50% without me even asking (42 now). Did you try Heritage?
