I need a good paint for my lcb

I have never got on with that vht stuff ie it lasts the first couple of blasts then flakes

Any tips on what to use ?

Quite simply, don't bother, what ever you put on it will get burnt off.

damn I hoped they would have made a true heat proof paint by now :D

I guess that means either a new lcb or a rusty one bolted to this :'(

You can get heat proof paint, but you need to cure the paint first which mean putting the item in a rather hot oven/kiln....

if you go to chrome paint website they i believe sell aheat ressistant paint.

Hmm thats not a bad idea as my mate brought a sand blaster and keeps hinting he wants something to do with it Lol

I tried this, and like guessworks said, it all gets burnt off. Stainless would be the best option of course.......

what about hammerite high temp paint or BBQ paint. i mean if you have to paint it.

I dont think theres anything heat resistant enough to stay on.

What about the coating that put on some manifolds, its like a black matt colour. Any idea what that is?

I've been considering trieing bbq paint but its only in black although I guess black is better than rusty Lol

I painted my manifold in VHT paint and only the paint on the middle pipe dissolved eventually
