Hiya does anyone know where I could get my mini 4 wheel alignment done the wheels are pointing in all different directions and I would try and get it right myself but I wouldn't know where to start I have a wheel alignment tool at work but I am guessing that it's not even close to a standard mini setting

any tyre fitter shop should do it, the one i was at yesterday charged £30 for all 4 wheels :)

Local indipendant ones are normally better

The problem is I don't think the Base settings on the zcars kit are anywhere near a standard mini so I don't think a run of the mill tyre shop will be able to do it i think I need someone who has set up these zcars mini before

First you must align your 4 wheels with your frame and not your bodyshell

When it's OK you could align wheels like this system:

(sorry i'am french)

Thanks normal shame your not round the corner :) I will have a look at if the wheels are central with the frame what do you do if there not inline do I have to move the frame or just adjust wheels to compensate sounds technical.

You need full geometry setup using a hunter machine or similar. I don't think.you'll get very good results from a Kwik fit or similar who use purely laser. You'll need caster, camber and toe all setting up.

When I had mime done I was with them for 4 hours and it cost me about £80.

You may find it drives like **** afterwards, if it does it could be bumpsteer unless you've done anything to counter this already?

When you build your car you must centralize the frame with the bodyshell.
After this you don't have to remove the frame in the bodyshell at all.
To adjust the alignement at front of the wishbones it's easy with the rods.
At the rear you could align wheels with the frame if you have washers enter the rod fixations of frame and rods.

I have been looking at my steering arms and they are pointing up would you advise dropping them down I think they need around 25 to 30mm to level them up and hopefully sort the Bumpsteer I am a bit of a novice when it comes to this side of things but I have been told if there not right they drive like a pig

For Red Hot

An hunter machine can't see if the front and rear frames are in the same alignement.
It could just verify the wheels and not the fixations...

Wheel as wheel and not wheel as frame.

For Bengreen55

Your steering arms must be plane and not pointing up or down.

With Original Mini tie rod ends the only solution is to up or down the frame.

But with this compbrake tie rod end:

You could adjust steering rack height with different spacers and a new lenght bolt.

Just thinking aloud, but why not true up the frame first then work on the suspension geometry...  I have 4 wheel alignment with dual castor and camber and KPI what I haven't got that you may need is corner weight measurement.
