Hi folks,

Bit of a sad story here and I need your help. 2 weeks before christmas my house burned down, destroying most of the building and garage, with Ron, my little Mini trapped inside. It was my pride and joy which I had put a lot of work into and never planned on getting rid of.

I am now looking for my next mini, I have a budget of around £2500 from the £2350 insurance payout and am open to anything as long as its solid and in one piece. Does anyone know of a nice mini for sale that might be within or close to my budget?

Cheers, Sam

Jeez, that's terrible.

On behalf of TMF have a years free TMF+ membership, it won't buy you a mini but will give you some discount on spares when you get another

Good luck with your search

Thanks everyone, yeah, this christmas was a bit of a downer but the support of the mini community has been incredible and I can't wait to have a mini in my life again!

Wow! Thanks TMF, so nice that you are helping out :)

keep your eyes and ears peeled for any good deals, also getting Mini Mag on the hunt.

Cheers, Sam

I too saw this on FB. A sad story at any time of year, especially so at Christmas. Not to mention all the people who were flooded over the festive period as well.

In terms of minis, I've been keeping an eye out as we may need a second car in the near future (well third but you can't drive a shell) and the choice is very limited at the moment. Keep looking though, things will crop up over the next couple of months. Are you after a complete car or project?

Im looking for a solid, complete car ideally, I did all of the usual jobs on my old one over the past few years so I'm not really into repeating them as soon as i get another mini.

Oh dear, the world turned up side down for ya, real bad news there mate, very sorry for you and your family.

Same pretty much happened to a good mate of mine a few weeks before Christmas, lost a lot of stuff, but probably the worst is all the family mementos and trinkets.
