Hi all,

Are they group 2 arches on the clubman below?

And does anybody know if the 12" GKN's have the same offset as the 10's?

Thanks all

I would say yes Gp2.....fit and finish varies but Minispares have a choice of quality and price level. (they stick out 1.75" including lip)

The quality of the arches is commensurate with the price. Most arches have minor flaws and may require trimming for a perfect fit but by fiiting one of the two types of sealing rubber available between the body and the arches, it makes fitment easier and a better finish quality is obtained,

These are Minispares better quality but therefore higher price:-

I would guess similar offset judging by outer faces of wheel in this old ad from Practical Motorist Magazine - May 1976.

Remember the Clubman in ad will be on standard drum brakes all round (hence no arches) and the 1275GT has wider track due to front discs and spaced rear drums.

.....will try to find out.

10" are either e15.5 or e22.2 offset. Don't know what 12" are.

My wife's GT has the 22.2 ones and Oz spec arches:

I can hopefully shed some light on the 12s, all my 12" Silverstones have an ET22.2 offset running 165 tyres.

I like to run mine with no arches. You get a little bit of poke but I like the look.

Sure do.

I ran my green GT with this set up for quite a while.

I've also just finished a refresh on my other GT with an identical set up.

Thanks.

They do, I just nipped out with a ruler, approximately 18mm of tread on the front, less than that on the back. So to the letter of the law not OK,but fine with some common sense applied.

Mine went through 2 MOTs like that and the yellow one passed an MOT on Thursday, again with no mention. Same garage but 3 different testers, and by no means a specialist garage.

I wonder if 145 section would make much difference?

They'd probably loose the poke. You would be slightly stretching the tyre though with a 5in wide wheel.

My car initially came with 155 section tyres which would have been perfect but where perished and definitely no longer available.

Even found a picture.
