Yet another issue with the mini when I am driving if I set off and thrash it it gets to about 6500 rpm backfires loses loads of power then I change gear it's fine again until I get higher in the rev range it does it again I have plugged it bk in and there's no faults showing in the ecu any ideas anyone if it doesn't start driving as it should soon it's going to be the next zcars mini on eBay.

It's set at 8500 it's nowhere near that it does it its around 6000 6500rpm and if you hold certain reves as you overtake something then when it's clear nail it to go past it does it its almost as if it's dropping off vtec then as soon as I change gear it's fine again through rev range until high reves I have changed the pump as that got very noisy I think I am going to have to put it back on the rollers and see what happens when it's on there

I think there's fuel pressure and power supply that can stop them working have you got fuel pressure set to 3.5 bar and I think there should be permanent live at the injector and the ecu sends the earth to them I think that how they work I could be wrong
