Those deep dish wheels on that GT are so cool. It's gorgeous!

Got some bits from Doug for the front subby/suspension - second hand (almost new) rubber cones, new discs, new pads, new rubber brake hoses, suspension rubbers, balljoint kit, caliper seal kits, CV boot kits, steering rack boots and various other small bits. Now waiting for the car to get into a garage to start some work.

Assembled the flanges and discs today. The discs got some paint to keep corrosion at bay.

Unfortunately I don't have any before photos, but I rebuilt the calipers, ready for fitting :

Test fit of the fibreglass bonnet from Andrew - the fit is really good so far. Need to get some brackets made and attached now :

She hasn't been touched in a while, but today the car got a wash before finally moving into her new home in one of the garages. At last, work can commence.

Some progress is better than no progress.

 

I picked up a secondhand RHS lense for the rear today. It was a little rough - dirty and covered in overspray. I gave it a bit of love and think it came out ok, but because PhotoBucket is being a b**ch, I can't show the before.

Genuine items, but definitely not NOS. They have patina.

Seeing as I couldn't load the images of the lense I got for the car, here they are :

Front end and engine bay got a bit of a strip :

Grille redone, but I needed to find a centre badge :

 

 

So, I found a badge that needed some work :

 

 

I took the white paint off and the original black paint underneath (it was too far gone) and gave it a nice polish :

 

 

And on the grille (just needs some reflectors now) :
