I like the minion dipstick topper!!!

As do I. Have two of them - one on this car and one for the Mk3 I have.

I've been doing small things lately, like the upper control arms and other suspension bits. Hoping to have an update done on it shortly.

It took longer than expected, but the front frame is nearly done. I just need to get some tie bar bushes (I thought I had, but I can't seem to find them) and some new washers, then I can fit those. The wheel bearings need to be fitted and packed, then fit the new balljoints. Not keen to pack bearings with grease today, so that can wait :

Subframe coming together nicely. Is that just dust on the subframe?

Nice :) you're not standing around with this one. Should be a completed front subframe in no time at all.

A couple small items to hopefully finish off the front frame this weekend. Unfortunately, the one hub I was building up is actually scrap, so have had to source another, along with new balljoint lock tabs. So that side will be completed when those parts arrive.

Progress for today - right side built up. Fresh steering arm bolts, dowels and lock tabs. Tie bars fitted up with new bushes and bolts. Everything torqued up, apart from the CV nut and caliper bolts. Waiting on the left hand side replacement hub to arrive before I can continue.

Lovely work! I really enjoy seeing these builds with the new subframes, running gear and with everything freshly painted.
