Another one working outside - it's hard but can be done.  Don't we envy those with a comfy garage, but happy that we have the space to work anyhow.

You really ought to give it a name yourself, from the pics it looks like a 'forty winks' or a 'roaring forties' or something like that lol

I remember the days of working outside in the rain.

Working in the cold & rain is fun...

I spent ages last night de-greasing then sanding the engine bay then applying a water based rust converter ... to go under the epoxy mastic primer that will go on tonight..

Woke up this morning and condensation/dew had watered it down and it's all run off.... And I'm in Essex .. it's wetter up near Glasgow !

Sorry, no progress on this yet but I was sent a photo of what my Mini used to look like.  This was taken in 2006.  Hopefully she'll look better than this in the not too distant future

Nice. Are you intending to restore it to what it was back in 2006?

How's the marquee holding up?

I don't know whether to put it back like that or to put it back to as original as possible.

The marquee has lasted well.  Really hope to start the welding this summer.

Almost another year has gone by and I still haven’t touched the mini.

I keep going to make a start then something else crops up and the mini is put on the back burner.

I know exactly how you feel - house renovations - babies - work - all seem to get in the way of my project! I've been working on my mini for 7 years and still feel like I'm years away from finishing!

At least you still have a mini and that's a good thing  :proud:

Cheers mate,

Yes as you say, at least I still have it although I have considered selling it a few times but just can’t let it go lol
