I would drill a hole (1/4 inch) just past the end of the crack , to stop it - as they can carry on after welding
also support the body across the back of the subframe , to pull the crack back together (if that makes sense) when welding it
the nose of the car is trying to rise , pulling the crack apart , by jacking the body up , you are pulling the nose (subframe) back into place
I personally would go solid on all the front mounts before welding up
also check toe board mounts for cracks (will need reinforcing for the solid mounts anyway) & check subframe as well (cracks can hide well - look for orange rust stains)
how much rust around the top damper mount ?

Top damper mount rust has been cut out and replaced.
The subframe in not bolted to the body at the moment. The body is just sitting on the subframe.

Dusting off an old thread...
After replacing a badly worn set of front subframe mounts I've noticed very similar inner wing cracking. In addition to the mitigations noted above, would there be any advantage in welding a small reinforcing plate over the top of the repaired crack?

I assume the inner wings are cracked at the damper top mount brackets?
Yes, very similar to the photo in Post #1 although the split is not quite as wide.

That's exactly the approach I was planning to take. Thanks much for the confirmation.
