Thanks for the comments folks! I have really enjoyed this project after a working life in
the motor trade at all disciplines mostly, in Body repairs and painting was interesting to
actually totally restore a Mini! Back in the day repaired hundreds of them including re-shelling
a couple. As for this one it is for sale to make way for and fund the next one
xrocketengineer, just got to say my 2 grandsons ,7&9 were in Florida this year on holiday
for 3 weeks and saw a lot !!both said the best bit was a visit to the space centre.

Just a small update on the progress of my project, first time that outside help has been
required! had to get someone in to do front and rear tracking and geometry setting as I
don't have access to the necessary equipment now,
rear end being set,
Then onto the front ,
I was fortunate enough to get a local mobile guy to do it ,saved taking out !
more or less finished all the other bits and pieces , just the clutch master cylinder to fit new seals
as I for some reason thought it was OK! but after a few weeks the pedal disappeared so a bit of
an awkward job to get the clevis pin out again ahead just goes to show some of us OLD and
experienced guys can make elementary errors ?
hopefully if we get some nice weather in January will get MOT done .
Once again thanks for looking and comments hope everybody had a good Christmas and have
a Happy new Year!

Thanks for the comments folks! actually a bitt of a imposter on the Yorkshire lad I am afraid
retired ex Scot no residing in west Yorkshire Anyway on with the story, all finished and
ready for MOT hopefully get it done on Monday?? just sorted out multi car insurance which
kicks in on Sunday , first time out of garage under its own power,
posing outside with the next project,
couple of inside,
Just had to add these as its probably the last time they will be seen together !
Hope nobody minds me posting a photo of me and my minis? hopefully the Sprite will be the first to go HaHa
just shows how big the Bini Countryman is, by the way I really like driving it!
Me and my first mini a 1963 Super Deluxe taken 50yrs ago did about 150,000 mls in it so don't feel guilty about
driving a Bini as a daily.
Once again thanks for looking and comments .

It really does look stunning.
Looking forward to the Clubman rebuild. It looks very eastern European with that grille.
Cheers

Thanks again for the comments, today had a good result for my last year and a bits work
mini sailed through its MOT with no advisories.
I will need to get it advertised for sale now (having said that the guy whom did the test a 60yr old
ex Rover Garage workshop supervisor fell in love with it and is interested in purchasing it) and at
least he appreciated what it costs to do these .
I did something that most folks say you should not do! counted up what its cost to date
It stands me the thick end of £6500. not including time but a most enjoyable project.
Having said that when started it was never the intention to sell it, but now have another one to do.

Lovely little mini, I'd buy it myself if I lived in the right country.
Please post a link here to your new thread when you get started on the clubbie. I'm intrigued by how hard someone has worked to make it so ferociously ugly. And looking forward to seeing you putting it right!
