It's pretty close isn't it! I haven't got much room for budging at all and there's barely an inch gap between the two.
Anyone had a problem with this? Overheating? Also a bit concerned about the fan blowing hot air through the rad onto the fuel tank. Should I be?

Cheers for any thoughts on this guy's.

John

I had this is problem on normal road driving it wasn't an issue but when I was on rolling road the tank did get quite warm I was thinking of making a ally plate angled to direct the warm air around the tank

I think they are talking about a Zcars  rear engine , with front rad with tank just behind

tank warms up sometimes

Yes this is tight , tight for any fan to squeeze in that gap, lots of Zcars run a vented bonnet to aid with cooling in traffic, You should be fine as it should not overheat the car, but the alloy tank can get warm, You can but an alloy back plate on the rad, and place fins that vent it away from the tank to the sides, but for the hassle and money its cheaper to buy a vented bonnet. I will do the job.

You can get a new one with a BINI  S type vent in the front for £50.
