If you haven't done already, get some sort of heat shield between the catalytic converter and the bodywork. You may find you smell burning carpet otherwise.


I have got some but they need a refresh, they are so hard to find in good condition.

I have got some but they need a refresh, they are so hard to find in good condition.

As long as the fibre glass is ok, you can pull the heat proofing off an replace it ??

I thought it was asbestos..

 

Could be wrong. I've got a NOS set in the loft, i don't really want to pull them apart to find out lol

I doubt they are asbestos as it was banned in the 80’s, they are definitely a fibre like material and very fragile.
