Even Chris Harris ( who I've been watching / reading for years ) has " modified " his presenting style, particularly evident in last nights offering........
I used to stick up for Evans , however am increasingly irritated with the constant shouting week after week, the poor audience members closest to him should be issued some form of ear protection.

Doesn't surprise me - Evans was all wrong for the format and his presenting style is very much "Shout, shout, OVER-ENTHUSIASTIC SHOUTING!". It was popular in the 90s (Big Breakfast, DFYT, TFI Friday etc) but he's simply not right for the show. Just because you're a huge petrolhead does not mean you'll be a brilliant car show presenter.

if it stays, I think that it'll be much more interesting without Evans - hopefully they'll give Chris Harris more airtime as I rate him as a knowledgeable guy who knows his way round a car. I am not sure about Sabine though - she looks uncomfortable (well she's speaking a 2nd language for a start) and I am not convinced she'll stay. Matt has all the charisma in the world, and I understand from internet chatter that he doesn't get on well with Chris Evans. He seems to like the job though. Eddie Jordan? Not a presenter, and a real bit-part character. I think he's better suited to F1 coverage. And I like Rory.

I was in the audience for the second to last episode of top gear with Clarkson, May and Hammond and it was really fascinating to see. I'm not a massive Clarkson fan but he honestly did come across as very dedicated to the show and you could see the passion. They tried to add genuine chat about more normal cars which interestingly the producers seemed to cut.
From what I had heard I always thought Hammond was the nicest but in my opinion he came off the worst. James May was absolutely hilarious! I am really looking forward to seeing their new show.

I don't watch much TV anyway but I gave the new top gear a go. I really don't like Chris Evans, he just gets on my nerves. I do feel it's a bit unfair just how much the media have been out to get him, although on the other hand if it is true then he's really not a very nice person! I think it will do a lot better now without him.
