Enjoy!

I should probably have been using second gear on some of the corners but a 1:25 time isn't too shabby

I did a 1:26 with a damp track so must have done a better lap than this at some point :)

Tyres Toyo T1-R

Next Trackday?

Cadwell Park (been before)

Oulton Park (would be first time)

Looking good! Was it your first time at Blyton? I've never done it in a mini but done it in an mx5 and thought it was a really good circuit!

The only thing I did notice is a quite a bit of movement in your harness like it wasn't tight. If the worst should happen and you have an accident, you might do more harm than good with them not being tight enough  =]

Second time, I went to the MK1 Performance action day this year, but that was just overtaking standard engined minis on the straights and getting traffic in corners haha.

There was only about 12 cars on so really got to push and learn the car a bit better.

Also finally figured out what tyre pressures I should be using as I was about 12psi too high before.

Blyton is great for pushing the car, feels a lot safer than cadwell at least.

I have only tried the outer circuit but I like it lots of hard braking zones and I rqeally liek the fast section out of the double apex corner (think its called BONGA BONGA or something)

Belts felt tight on the day haha

avon A11 all round.

In testing I pushed a 1.38 round cadwell pretty good for a 1293cc car.

Not many race cars do a 1.44 round there....

our 2008 911 turbo in standard road trim with good tyres was timed at 1.46,,,,, felt quicker....but we could get it any quicker

My friend did a 1:40 in his integra DC2 K20 swapped.

Hoping to get close to his time with a little more practice and the below bits.

Going to throw on some semi slicks

Get the car mapped (as its mapping isn't great should give about 10-14 more bhp and more consistent power).

Suspension is still set up from rally so probably need to play with the ride height and dampers. (I have no clue what i'm doing haha)

Last time at Cadwell I was getting 2:00 laps but have doubled my time in the car on track in the car since then so hopefully have improved driver wise a little. (only drove 4-5 track days so far :( )

Hopefully that's an achievable target haha.

Well power to weight once i'm mapped should be about the same 253~ bhp/tonne

But with a lighter car :D

So hopefully its achievable (providing I gain godlike driving skills)

B16A2

Not sure on every detail of it but Geoff Watson converted my grandmothers 78 mini for my dad to rally haha.

It did a couple of roger albert clarkes 2007/8

Extended front

Gaz Suspension

LSD box that goes with the engine

Think front brakes are from a golf gti rear from an escort

Compomotive Motorsport 14" rims 6J (though gonna drop to 13s for semi slicks)

Two fuel tanks and a battery in boot (yikes)

DTA Fast S40 ECU

Full cage and all the other bits to pass scrutineering

Custom Exhaust

I could go on haha..

Any idea if he touched internals on engine? Because I don't :D

Yeah well it was sat since 2008 in the corner of Watsons Rally so I figured id learn a bit about cars and put it to some good track day use.

Must admit its not the easiest car to start on  =]  Though I suppose there's not many who can say they did their first oil change on a 240+ bhp/tonne Honda Mini

Trying to figure out what rims will fit is a nightmare!

And next up i'm gonna play with suspension now i've finally got the tyre pressures right  :proud:
