Hello all,

Looking for the dash illumination kit which used to be sold by W&P for the 1997 and later cars with the five lit switches.

Show me whatcha got!

Thanks

Jacob

Does it have to be W&P? Minispares do a really good one.

I get asked this a lot  :proud:  The reasoning is that the W&P had connectors that tapped into the 3 Aux gauges, so it's plug and play rather than hacking into the loom with awful Scotchlocks.

Have you asked W&P whether or not they're considering making more?

Scotchlocks are ****. I soldered mine into the loom in minutes. Looks OE now.

I've just emailed them about it. Hopefully they'll get back to me next week.

I asked W&P about the kits a while ago and even managed to get in touch with the company, RDM Group, who used to make them. They now own W&P, so said it would be straightforward to put forward as an case for getting them remade. Unfortunately, nothing has come to fruition and my original query was coming up to a year ago. Maybe you'll have better luck!

Are these kits any good, is the illumination worth the work?

Yes, it's a shame I didn't more of a useful response from them.

Seems this is something i need to look into then............ I agree the Minispares one is less than plug and play so maybe I can devise something to make them plug and play.

Along with all the other things I'm trying to develop (lights on buzzer / handbrake & fluid warning light).................
