There are many round here in daily use. True, they hide away a little in the wetter/colder months. 25 or so were at Gt Yarmouth today for our annual run

I saw couple of minis on the way back from from London last week, a late cooper on the M3 near basingstoke, then a mk1 near Salisbury.
You really dont see that many on the road these days.

Out of production for 15 years now. Getting rarer as a daily driver.
Mines tucked up snugly in the garage and not out as often as Id like.
Just back from 2000 miles in France where I saw just 1 classic Mini.
However loads of 2CVs, Renault 4s, Pug 205 etc, some ropey, some pristine.

See plenty of them round by me. I normally see 3 on my way to work (unfortunately never when I'm in my Mini)

Think of it this way: we don't see many classic Minis now, but we do see a lot of BINI's. When the classic Mini was a relatively new car, in the 1960's & 1970's, we didn't see many 1920's/1930's Austin 7's or Morris Minors/8's, which were the true fore-runners to the Mini.
That's what happens with classic cars and what makes them so special - the fact that they are 'bits of automotive history' to be cared for, treasured and enjoyed as icons of a previous motoring era.

I have just spent ten days in Hamburg, Cologne and Paris. Seen 31 Minis! Did not expect that. There were loads in Paris and Hamburg. Love to see Minis as daily drivers - though it takes a lot of work / trips to the garage to keep them going.
