Hi just after a bit of info on the rear coil overs for the VTEC road frame prior to ordering from Protech,...what size (open length) spring diameter, length, and poundage and finally eyelet size . Are they a off the shelf item or do Protech make them to order?

Cheers thanks

Hi'have just recently taken my unstarted v-tech kit back to the new proprietor David Rose. Would suggest you contact him either on Zcars.org.uk or [email protected] . Good luck.

Long story. Didn't have the best experience in the world with previous owner Simon. Started with long delay getting the kit then when it finally came all the powder coating was scratched and damaged. He then sent his dad up to take the kit back to be re-powder coated. Eventually it came back but I lost faith in the company and the heart to build it. Tried selling it on ebay early in the year but I couldn't get close enough to the asking price. Phoned Chris Allanson he suggested hanging on till the new company reformed. After speaking to David Rose about my situation we agreed he would take the kit and try to sell it. That's the story so far

From memory the rear coil overs were 2.25 od, bearings top and bottom, 15" open length and I think 1/2" bolt size, poundage no idea as mine were for the bike version

But the rate seen depends on the angle it is worked on.

I would just like to state the image above was something I found on here but do not know the exact details or year or suspension design.

All the info I have is what is on it.

They aren't 400lb on the front if they was you might as well put scaffold tubes in 400lb on front would make it hard!!

The guy from Protech ,after I explained what they were for , suggested 225 for the front I might add here that this is for the old mini subframe set up where the shockers sit in the vertical position

In the back it's the vtec road frame but with the A series front subframe like the set up in the old z cars DVD my budget doesn't quite run to a ZC front not yet anyway lol

Right, please tell me if I,am wrong here, damper itself 15 inch open length top and bottom 40mm in width both with half inch adjustable bearings . Springs 1.9 id at 400 lbs the only thing I don't know is spring length. Perhaps one of you guys out there could possibly measure yours and let me know?

Thanks john
