Hello all I've got the idea of supercharging my classic mini but which kit would be the best? Like the idea of having a weber on the charger but then again also the podifold idea? Seen the kit on eBay from minibitz Bolton but just need some help from people with supercharging experience cheers in advance!

Do you have a link to the eBay kit?  Is it a blow through like the Podifold system or a suck through?

The item number is 282109402084 tad pricey but adding up all the bits it's not if you think of it that way looks a neat bit of kit

From the eBay ad http://www.ebay.co.u...EYAAOSwLnBXVGmw

Full mini supercharger kit , everything you need to fit this kit will be supplied

Turbo charger
metro turbo carburetor and plenum chamber

So, buy a supercharger kit and it comes with a turbo haha

That looks badly cobbled together and for the price they are asking, is a joke, in my opinion.  That also looks like a suck through setup to me, so hard to compare like for like.  Go for Podifold as its actually properly developed and thought out.

The one on eBay is using a podifold manifold, you can clearly see it in the first picture. The outlet pipe from the supercharger is going through the intercooler then the carb then into the engine, so is a blow through setup.

Must just be the use of blue silicon hoses that puts me off. Cheap and tacky things

Think I'll hold off for a while I've already got a eaton 45 charger in the garage just can't justify that amount of money when the car hasn't run in around 4 years haha! it will only sit and gather dust while I get it running

I really want the vmaxscart DCOE kit for my 998, as it looks pretty well made from what I've seen, although suck through does have some disadvantages

It's obviously a lot less complicated than a blow through set up, as there is no intercooler piping etc...

New pictures on his site:

Also with a 40mm throttle body...

That's the look I prefer I've got the weber and the charger so just the manifold needed. Would be a bit better for my wallet too haha

Weber with no bulkhead mods.  Winning!
