Same as the base model Metros (>84) - and many other models. Back in the days before CAD, manufacturers mostly picked from the limited choice of standard designs from Lucas etc. In the US, the regulations only allowed 3 standard patterns.

 

I have post 84 Metro lights fitted directly to the body, needs a little bit of modification.

The original Midas Coupes used the headlights and mounting assemblies from the single headlight Allegros. I believe these lights are also used on Hillman Hunters and some Avengers as well as the Triumph Toledo. Despite what others say, Bedford Rascal headlights will not fit without some modification as the light body is bigger overall and they don't fit the cavity.

 

I have a pair of base model Metro ones which will require minor modification to work with the original Allegro fittings.

Speaking with my Dad today about this, Toledo / Viva headlights :)
