Hello,

After going to Mini in The Park this weekend and seeing some truly amazing stuff!

We as a club used CB Radio to keep in touch on the drive each way!

As it was my first time using it I opted for the basic magnetic base option.

However I have thought about getting a more permanent solution to the antenna location

Over the weekend I saw a few cars with hard wired antenna mounts low down on cars near the bumper on the bootlid!

Is this a suitable thing to do?

Does it affect the rang much?

Any other potential hard wired ideas?

Not sure of a good place for a permanent mount but when trying options, make sure you have a SWR meter and keep an eye on it. If you bugger it up and have it in the wrong place you will fry your radio... Trust me I've done it before lol.
