Red spots are really good IMO.

When there was no problem with the quality of rubber parts, way back in 1984, my new Mini took at least 5000 miles to settle to normal ride height. Even if competition cones do settle, that is a lot of mileage on a competition car. It only took mine 2 months...

You could well need to shorten the male threaded part of the hilo as it can screw in far enough to to bottom on the welded nut that is used to compress cones. MiniSpares do highlight this in their instructions:
"If using these on 10" wheels with Hilos cut 3/4" off the end of the centre threaded bolt of the old type Hilo with a circlip as it will bottom out on the cone spring face and the car will sit high, for extremely lowered cars the hilo face will also need machining a few mm."

Hi,
Does anyone know if you can fit the yellow spot cones without a compressor if you have Hilos already fitted?
Don't want to start the job only to find I'll need a compressor, I've read the yellow spots are taller than standard ones.
Cheers:)
