if the car is running bit rich does that loose power and torque

Yup rich is safer then lean though

both are bad lean over heats and burns things rich washes the oil off and you blow it up

Only in the extreme. Slightly rich won't cause bore wash.

The more fuel you add, the faster the bores and rings wear. The trick for optimum fueling on a road car is only add enough fuel to avoid misfire at part throttle, and only add enough full at full power toacheive full power and no more. No where should it be rich. Rich running has no place in a road based high mileage engine.
