Not much to report I'm afraid, I've been poorly sick for a few weeks, But mainly I've been playing with the bonnet, trying to get it so that I'm happy with it. I also had a quick clean up and moved the car back across so I could get the other side A-Panel on and welded up.

just the doors and boot lid to sort now and I might just have to think about prepping for paint.

Nice work, are you going back to the original colour?

The plan was to go for tweed grey as I've seen a few examples of Mk 1's in this colour and think they look smart, However, I have had a few people now tell me they like the original colour so who knows ? I don't think the final decision will be made until I'm stood at the paint store counter with a receipt in my hand.

Tweed grey would look very smart, especially with a black or old English white roof

and there in lies my problem, every mini I've built has had a black roof (not intentional but becoming a bit of a tradition) but it turns out early coopers in tweed would have had white roofs. someone correct me please ?

But your car isn't an early cooper, so just make it what you want

Not an exhaust although I have fitted similar looking ones.

Built myself a blitz2 buggy many years back, that had a stainless twin DTM mounted vertically out the back, that looked cool but used to fill with water when it rained

Think I'll have to do some photoshop engineering and see how it looks.

If you google 'Tweed grey mini' there's a few images with black roofs. Personally i think it looks really smart, especially if you want a slightly more sporty appearance  than old English white

This is my desktop back ground and inspiration. If it looks half as good as this I'll be a very happy boy.
