Would a set of 5.5x12 revolutions fit on a standard 1993 mini mayfair? Also in some of the adverts for 6x12 wheels it says body mods are required, but what sort of body mods?
Thanks

The shoulder profile of the tyre to fit 6x12 wheels inside a Mini wheelarch is the problem. The low profile has a squarer shoulder than the more standard profile fitted to 6x10s. So the arch needs trimming a bit. I don't know if the 5.5x12 will fit, it depends on the tyres fitted I think and how well they fit the 5.5 jaw size.

12" wheels are pretty much the worst size on a Mini though, even 13s are better so I would think making them wider (and so heavier) would not help matters.

Would a set of Revolution 5x12 with Yokohama A539 165/60/R12 fit with no cutting?
