Saw this on a local auction site

not sure where to post it actually

I have never seen a rear wiper on a mini before - so I thought it would be interesting to post it

It's an AT with twin pipes

They have been around for years. At least 20 as kits and sure there were some fitted in the 60s using bits from other cars.
I used one of the kits for the front wiper on my GTM back in 95.

Funny how you don't notice things until they are pointed out - that was the first time I recall seeing one

Are these still available as a kit? If not, has anyone any experience of fitting one?

I'd be interested in seeing some pictures of the installation and if possible any identification on the wiper motor.

As promised some photos of rear wiper fitting as done by Olyer Coach Builders who

built the Contessa, not the best photos ! taken with iPhone in between sleet showers

this morning and bl**dy cold,

IMG_0544_zpsrfssfp92.jpg

2 washer jets fitted,

IMG_0545_zpsfzjn4452.jpg

looks like just a standard wiper motor,

and 1 wheel box ,

IMG_0548_zpsgibzlhuo.jpg

normal type clamp used to secure to body.So nothing special about it ,seem to remember something about seeing a

mini fitted with 2 wipers on the rear back in the day??

WMU 211G  To be honest have owned this for nearly a year, and its been covered up waiting to be started on once my

current project is finished , so haven't looked into what parts were used to build it ,I would suppose as with most of the

Coach Built minis whatever parts that could be found to make them exclusive.

As you say nice project! looking forward to getting it done .
