Where To Start (Replacing Inner Wing, Pillar, Sills And Floor)

Best Answer sonikk4 , 21 October 2016 - 07:44 PM

Sort the inner sill, floor and outer sill first. If its a full length inner sill then once the old one is out, you can cut a large hole in the lower flitch to fit the inner through. (though from your picture that has been done already)

Then you can replace the inner wing not forgetting the backing plate for the shock absorber mount.

Hi All,

Just after a little advice on the best way to tackle the repairs I need to do.

Car is having the scuttle, inner wings, inner and outer sills and front part of floor replaced, but I'm not sure what section to put in first.

I could start with the inner wing, the replace the floor to fit the bottom of the inner wing, or fit the floor first and match the inner wing to the floor.

Any advice is greatly appreciated,

Jake
