I'd pull the glass out or cover it if you are using an angle grinder - you tend to get shards of metal melted into the glass if you don't.

Nice video and hope the project goes well.

most people don't and then find they need to buy  new set of glass.

 

the sparks bounce off paint but melt into glass.

Haha I can just see me feeling all accomplished rolling up to MOT only to be failed for a messed up windscreen!
I'll be fitting some cardboard next time I grind in the car

I meant tape cardboard to the inside of the windscreen
