The car bought new that replaced Boris:

This car has been dry stored and gives something of an indication of the condition the Mini was the day it were abandoned at the bottom of the garden.  I was driven to the pub in one of these and thought "good God thats like a mini with grunt!".  Just had to have one:

Thanks both and I do indeed enjoy it during the summer months.

The car is currently stored for the winter and needs a couple of jobs doing. The starter is a bit sticky, hopefully a clean will sort it.

The front brake back plates have turned to dust and originals are NLA. Got some alternatives from VW Heritage. Nothing like the originals but a much improved design. Unfortunately the securing screws are seized and rounded off and the only way I can see to get good direct access is the take the hub off and press the drive flange out. Picked up some bearings on a EuroCarpats 32% off promotion. :)

Everything that. comes off will go back cleaned up with a fresh cost of paint ready for next spring.
