The full cost is £159.99 including post and package, however the company seem to sell one every couple of days that you can bid for on e-bay, I bid on a few and managed to get mine for £97 so its worth a try, good luck

Yep that's how I got mine, paid a little more than you but I was going to buy one anyway before I saw the auctions. Still made over £30 saving.

A few photos of the minor changes (new steering wheel, GT door cards fitted, 1st part of homemade boot board fitted). Other works have been carried out include replacing head gasket, steering swivel joints and installing a new radiator.

Looking very nice. The handles and latches for the door cards did you already have them or managed to get some new ones from somewhere?

Been after some for my 1275Gt but had no luck in finding some

Looking good John.

Thanks Ben

The car is looking good on the outside (thanks to your work) and all is well mechanically, I am going to concentrate on the interior next.

I am looking at booking a visit to the island in August so will contact you when I have definite dates to see if you would be able to fit the Mini in for a few jobs.

John

Not a problem John.

Has replacing the head gasket solved the coolant loss issue?

I had the door and window handles but the grab handles I had were incorrect, I bought some new grab handles off e-bay which didn't fit as the chrome brackets were incorrect so purchase used brackets and used the new handles with them.

I did spend a good few hours on e-bay searching, so I would advise you do the same, good luck

It improved the loss of coolant a bit but the radiator also had a very small leak by the filler neck, I repaired the hole and all seemed fine but have now fitted a new radiator as I didn't want the repair to let me down.

The mini has been back to Bens for the car to be re-waxed and to have the front wheel bearings replaced and some paintwork tidied up, as always Ben has done an excellent job. My wife and I have had a great little break, excellent weather and accommodation, plus the mini is looking and driving the best it’s ever been

I have this GT back again for some more work.

The main new job is to paint and fit a replacement drivers door.

I put a new one on the other side last year so all of the remaining jobs needed on this car are getting less and less.

The other thing it's here for is some remedial work to the roof gutters. The paint has cracked in a few places so ill be sorting that out

I didn't want to take any chances of there being any other areas so I took the whole lot back

And then primed the bare areas. I also did the back panel beneath the back window as there was a small area there too.

Cheers

Great work Ben , there's a lot more work than I thought would be required with the roof gutters but I am pleased to see all the gutters getting redone.

Thanks Ben
