Summer season is over now here in Rhodes. Parts from minisport arrived today, stay tuned i am waiting to get the gb wheels from the paintshop then i will upload a video. Cheers to all
If you want to see my turiorials visit my youtube channel : Xydte .
I am making videos after i watch/and talk to, Classic mini DIY and total car reviews so i don't make tutorials that already exists.
So some good news. Car has not much rust.
Bad news. My roof is from a mk3 mini so now i have to spend 750 euros to buy the rear panel with the small window and mk1 lights to be correct. I talked to the guy that repaired the car back in 2004 he told me the cut the hole roof after my grandfather crashed it on a tree. Paint and bodywork will happen in 2018. Now  I am planning just to drive it. I also bought gaz adjustable suspension. My question is : how low and what settings should i go to be comfortable? Any suggestions please tell me.

Ok technical help needed asap. My car is a 1967 i order the cylinders for the rear drums but i got the wrongs one as you can see in the photo. The car has late ones ,1967 on as appearing in minisport and i order the 59 to 67 ones on which the bleed nipple is bigger. i Saw the Goodridge high pressure hoses. has anyone got them? These hoses are going on the drum and on the cylinder or in the upper section?? the pipe that i removed was mettalic and 50 years old so no wonders why it broke. What should i put there? ( i put the drum back on so the car doesn't stay on the high-jacks as i am waiting for the 10" to come back from the paintshop)  also the connection between this pipe and the rubber one in the arm is below the arm not on the top as i saw in your minis in the forum. That made me wonder why but i thing my rear subframe was a hydroelastic and converter to a dry one at some point.

Now i have to wait 10 days so i can get the parts from your country. We literary can't find anything in greece especially in an island like Rhodes.

Also i changed the hole wiring in the car because in somepoint a rat ate some wires. So now lights indicators reverse wipers and radio now are working.

Before i start check minispares online they have still black friday. Fletcher radiator 56 pounds and full set of gaz ajdustable ride height with knucles 185 pounds got them also.
So until 4 of December i removed my rear subframe and respray the hole thing.

Started from this car use to be blue in 1981....
24020193_10155489656788300_2102653802_n_

And after 8 hours of messing around we had this...

24085101_10155489689198300_1417225855_o_

Now i am waiting a service kit from minisport for my HS4 because it was leaking fuel all around so i removed alternator , engine started , spark plugs and did what i could do to paint the block. Unfortunately the yellow 998+ engine made the colour a little bit bride. Things that are coming lucas sports coil, hoses, intake for the carb, fletcher radiator, and clutch master cylinder. I saw some leaks also there(clutch cylinder) plus the rust thing i didn't like it.

So i started from here
IMG_20171118_140608_zpsfaj6egkq.jpg

3 Hours Later it was here. I used a steam cleaner and petrol tou remove what dirt i found. Such as mud mixed with leaking oil and other disgusting things . If you do the part with the petrol DO NOT fire your engine until next day wait to be completely dry.
IMG_20171118_155543_zpsy6mfr0zf.jpg

Then I took the a hair dryer to put the monte carlo stickers. In order to put them especially on the hood and the fender go a specialist or use 3 persons . 1 to see if they are fitted properply and one to help you out when you are putting them on.Spray with soap the area that you gonna put them one and use a flat tool (plastic more common to remove possible air bublles) To be honest i can't do a complete resto this year due to the fact i am opening a new store now. So until next winter i will try to get all the parts so when it goes to the paintshop the people there are gonna have everything they need. No parts available here.
So I began like this i have no garage
IMG_20171124_182901_zpsejqepdnj.jpg

And ended like this. The number in the bonnet are the plates that my grandfather use to have when he got the car in 1967

IMG_20171124_192306_zpswvhqho5r.jpg

This was done in the evening so this one is first thing in the morning
IMG_20171125_105734_zpsrhyl1era.jpg

I am now waiting goodridge hoses still i haven't put on the 7.5 brakes but i got some photo from the painter with the GB wheels sandblasted. They are gonna be ready in the week. This is what he send me

the one was broken also on the center cap a piece of alloy was missing took it to shop they fixed it for 10 euros.

Those wheels should look really nice once they're refurbished and the engine cleaned up nicely too.

Ok quick update for the mini plus all the cars that you are going to see in the channel
Friday i am going to athens to buy an alfetta gtv for my best friend. It has an alfa romeo 75 turbo america engine swap. Full exhaust intake and programm about 180hp for a little 1.8 8valve engine. Here it is. We got this alfa because no one wanted ther car because it was engine swaped.  I mean who cares. Enjoy it as you want. Friends with AE86 corolla with 4g63 engine conversion, a silvia s15 and some more are gonna be in the next video.

I also have a very well known car on youtube as it's the only 1.1 peugeot 106 quicksilver with a 259 catcam camshaft in Greece. Here are 2 videos. One when it was straight piped when i was in university and one now with peugeot sport exhaust (replica).
Straight piped here :

And this is how it is now

And finally i have all the parts for the mini. I was looking on google, flickr, etc and nowhere i could find a decent  photo of a Fletcher radiator. I got a lot of stuff watch them here. Tomorrow i will start putting them on
And i will tell you my thoughts on the radiator when i have it on the car.

Thanks for watching and the story is going on .

Those Monte stickers really transformed the look of the car! Are you thinking the wheels are a little too white? Look good though.

Season No2 finished. I stayed one week on the workshop doing all the job by myself , but my mechanic was guidining me. things that changed:
-Oil seals on the drive-shaft and the gearbox was leaking like hell
-Upper arm bearings
-Lower arm new and new silent blocks
-Adjustable rods and lower arm
-New Brake line switch
-Rubber cones red spot (as stevestonmotor.co said in their youtube video)
-New bigger Mounts where the bolt hold the frame with the subframe (the tool that compress the cone went through the chasis because i put the lower bump stop before i put the hi lows. NEVER DO THAT :P
- Hi Lows
- Repair the gas tank because it was leaking
-New bump stops
-Longer arms on the steering rack , all bought from minispares.
- New valve oil seals (was smoking like hell. i put the seals from the mpi model which they are stronger )
-NOW THE BIG PROBLEM . i convert the "wet" suspenison to dry. The problem was the arm wasn't going down. Had to make it slowly go with a hummer. What ever they say on the internet like change the arms (ok better for the brake lines) IT IS POSSIBLE. Just when you get the old suspension out measure the  height difference between the stock shock absorver and the new lower one. i put the hi lows 30mm lower than the standard height still the car sits too high because of the new cones. but damn i love it. Now when i pass the MOT i will drive the car daily until i see how much the suspension will drope down. Videos coming soon on my youtube channel : Theo's Garage
Next steps : interior and rollcage and next year the bodywork
