Hi Everyone,

Bought my 1991 Cooper about 2 months ago...

Been sorting out the rust issue and getting it perfect really, but...

I cannot for the life of me figure out what the end button on the dashboard does...

In the picture attached, its the far left button with what looks like a brake pedal with two arms coming off of it aha!!

If anyone could help me, and tell me what it is for, that would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

The switch tests the bulb which is in the switch.

If the bulb lights up without pressing the switch your brake fluid level is low.

Although there's a possibility the connectors will have rotted off the top of the master cylinder cap and it wont warn you

As has been said above it tests the Bulb and circuit on the low fluid level warning system. So when pressed, if the light does not glow red, there is a fault in the system and wont warn of low fluid in use.

I wasn't aware it tested the whole system only the bulb.

Removing the cap and taking it out the master cylinder would test the whole system
