Hi there,

Currently building a rally mini. Idea is to create a MK1 Works replica.

All is going according plan but I do have a question regarding the seats.

We are rallying with the car and we do not know which seats would be the best fit for the car.

The car is used in multi-day events and the seating is quite important since we'll be shaking for day after day in the car.

Does any of you have some suggestions for seats that offer a bit of a classic look as well as good comfort and back support?

All suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Err forget that. read the rules and regs that you will be competing under and you will see what seats you HAVE to have. then from that list see what fits and then fulfills your needs.

It's all in the RAC-MSA 'Blue Book' - the Bible for all UK Motor-Sport.

For International regulations it's the FIA 'Yellow Book'. you refer to and there are differences.

Before giving my opinion.......can I ask what sort of rallying you will be competing in???  Here in the UK there are different styles of rallying that require very different safety specs when It comes to seats.

Great to have another rally mini on the forum though.

Guys, we are not bound to rules. No official rally events. Just business rallys etc

What is a business rally??   If you mean promotional stuff and not competitive rallies, then i'd suggest you post the question in the styling section rather than the motorsport section.   Here you will only get pucker motorsport advice rather than anything that looks fancy.
