Hi guys!

Small question: who is running 145/70/12, and what tyres do you run?
There are a lot more tyres to choose from in this size than in 165/60/12, and most brands are brand that I haven't used yet!
Always heard a mini on smaller tyres feels a lot better and very tempted to put that to the test!;)
Cheers

I went for the cheapest unbranded ones on blackcircles, not because I'm tight but because they actually had the best grip in the wet! I can't remeber what they are called Hifly maybe? Had all four just a few months ago, they are fine, I love a mini on skinny tyres!

Falken Ziex ZE914 if you can get it, I use the 165/60/12 size though! Either that or A539 yoko

The Falken 145's are very good. They will give the best handling you can get, although a bit of dry road-holding may be lost. In the wet the road-holding & the handling will be very good because the tyre to road contact pressure is what the car was designed to have. In fact they make the car feel like driving a Mk.1 Cooper 'S'.

Just googled mine, they are Hifly and the wet grip rating is better than the Falken.

I had some Bridgestone 145s that I changed to 165s can't say I noticed any difference, plus they look terrible on 145s
