Hi,

I don´t want to fit wheel arches but I want larger rims. Which do you recommend? Can I have 5 x 12 with specific ET?? Even some 5 x 13??

I have Hi-Lo.

Thankful for replies.

Regards

Goran

The standard 5x12 steel rims first appeared on the later 1275GT without arches but even those were borderline for MOT and when 12" wheels became standard on all Mini's plastic arches were added to make sure tyre tread was covered. No room for any further inset of rims on rear radius arms hence arch extensions are the norm with most wider wheels/ tyres.

A 4.5" with standard datum offset is the best when not running arch-extensions. A 165 section tyres is OK for that rim width.
