I bought a Lexus IS200 for £2k, with 30k on the clock last year. Japanese reliability, drives really well, looks great, quick enough , nice engine. Only downside are parts are expensive, though you'll never need any, and fuel economy is a bit low for the power. But it's so so nice.

The only thing I know about we buy any car is that they are trained to hit a target of paying no more than 50% of what they quote online once they inspect the car.

They paid bang on the quoted money for my mates Celica, easily £500 over what it was worth as well.

We are keeping the Civic now, take the hit on the clutch and possibly suspension and hope it lasts another 3/4 years or so.
