Hi there mini peeps, I've started collecting to do a turbo rebuild on my 998 and after much research on these pages I've decided on going for the GT1544 turbo as there is a lot of people on here that recommend it for the small bore.

My questions are though, firstly which doner car does everyone get the turbo from, does it matter if its diesel or petrol, and from all the pictures I've seen of the GT1544 turbo, the exit from the intake side (going to the inter cooler) looks to have an internal fitting with two holes either side, is it just a case of using the pipe from the doner car, cut it down and connect onto that or is there a different solution??

Many thanks!

'looks to have an internal fitting with two holes either side' - do you mean the oil outlet?
