Hi all I am currently trying to find the best engine conversion for my 1275 cc Mini Cooper. Can anyone please help me answer the following questions?

Between K20 and B18c which is easier and cheaper to fit?
Would I need to pretty much destroy the cooper's nose to fit one?
Can either engine fit in a classic Mini without any need to modify the length or width of the nose?
Are there any kits out there that are strongly recommended?
What extra parts would I need on top of the subframe kits?
Would a supercharger fit in alongside a B18c or k series engine?
How much would an English garage charge to fit all of this?
How long would it take?

Any help is much appreciated, I have a Mini Cooper rather than a clubman so it has a standard round nose. Thanks!

Watsons do the conversion in wakefield,  but ive been there done that and regretted it, Much prefer the A series lump.

there are plenty of cars already done with the vtec conversion be cheaper just to buy one

I'm currently building my mini with a b18 using the minitec frame. Mine has retained the standard fixed front (roundnose).

You're gonna find it difficult to sling a K20 in. Only people who make the frame at the moment as far as I'm aware is Minitec in the states. Where as you have more choice of frames sticking with a B series for sure.
