Advice wanted. Turboed 1310 using standard metro t3 setup still on 4 psi. Using megajolt with standard metro turbo map on it.
Mini sits and idles fine and afr reads 13.9 - 14.6 and revs freely with no load. When trying to pull away mini bogs down and afr goes round to 18 or 19. Only way it will pull away is to rev it high and then it will be OK but then leans out after a very short time. I'm not sure where to look for the problem or what it could be.
Thanks in advance

Silly question, what carb are you using?

Could be several things:

What needle have you fitted to the carb? I think the metro was BDD as standard, would be a good starting point with your spec.

How have you connected the part throttle lean off pipes and the other air and fuel connections on the side of the carb?

Have you set the idle fuel pressure to 3-4 psi?

Also check that your Megajolt spark map is sensible and use a timing light to check that the advance seen by the engine matches what the Megajolt is outputting.

Carb has a brand new bed fitted. Megajolt has standard turbo map on it and is putting out what it should be according to timing light fuel pressure is set to 4 psi. Lean off pipe is blanked off now as per a suggestion on another forum and that has improved it no end.

Yeah I had the exact same problem, blocked the pipe and runs a lot better, it still leans off at higher Rpms though
