I like it, Get it on the road quick! You don't want anyone in the same town as you driving a Mokealike first

One of the first jobs I need to do is put some new brake lines in.I want to declutter the engine bay and move away from the yellow label tandem cyinder and put a cleaner looking single master cylinder in. Can any one tell me what rear pressure reducer I would need. The one that I think I need are out of stock at mini spares http://www.minispare...px|Back to shop

Cheers

get something like this

http://www.cjponypar...g-valve/p/BPV1/

as I guess the rear is lighter than normal an you can also increase the braking if loaded.

I was looking for the original part. Out of interest, being lighter at the back would you put more braking power to the back or less?

You are mot putting more or less braking power anywhere. You need to restrict the pressure to the rear. Or limit the pressure to the rear.

The power comes from your foot. To much at the rear and you will spin.

OK Perhaps I worded it incorrectly. Meant which has more / less pressure! Visavis is the back to be made more or less efficient. So a lighter car at the back is more likely to lock up at the back?

Being as I am supercharging, the first job is the brakes. Been a bit slow and fustrating today. But got the master cylinders in, most of the the new brake lines and refurbished calipers with green stuff pads and grooved/cross drilled discs.
Forgot to buy a regulator valve. Also decided to get new rear mini fins

I could not get over how thin the left hand brake disc was. I have never seen this much wear in my life.it was about 5mm thick!

If the back's lighter the tyres have less friction so it's easier to lock up under braking. I'd go for an inertia brake valve, I think it's what Mokes had, vans certainly did, it adapts to load and braking effort better than a pressure sensing valve.

Will a Mini based Hummer be a Mummer?

New package from Stuart arrived today! I like the colour in the flesh, kinda bronze which'll go quite nicely with the desert sand colour scheme.

Been looking at reg plates and the nearest thing I can find to 'desert rat' is DE58 RAT. 'DES ATE RAT' is that desperate or cool ? PS on black and silver plates
