MiniSport do Bilstein B6 and B4

looked at those but they don't provide the facts and figures. Need to know the lengths

Is it worth getting in touch with Protech and seeing if they can do you a custom set?

One thing I don't get, when companies quote the open and closed lengths, they say from pin centres. But there is no pin centre on the top of the rear shock, So where do they measure it from? The point where the shock passed through the bodywork to the bottom pin centre (in between the 2 rubbers)?

Different manufacturers measure from different points, when Studs (or Pins) are involved..

Some measure from between the two rubbers and some measure from the top of the Shock Body.

The Dimensions I quoted earlier are from between the Two Rubbers with the Nut done up to the Shoulder on the Stud.

I've ordered the adjustable spax from mini spares. Open to 410mm with about 140mm stroke.

Got all my extended suspension nuckles on and they work! Need to put a couple of washers (shims( on the rear off side as it is a little lower than the rest. Here's a couple of pictures to show how I made them.

This is how I made the extension pieces and collars. Using two steel bars. 1/2 inch and 19mm. Drilled the 19mm to match the diameter of the original nuckle.

Spax (rear) arrived today, fair play to minispares and Simon. Got them out quickly to me. Bit of a size difference to the old standard ones.Attached File  20190612_140927_resized.jpg   56.76K   0 downloads

Had a spare 1/2hr yesterday and decided to sort something that had been bugging me for ages but never got round to sorting. The events on the bonnet, with the screen down the engine bay was exposing my face to an untested engine. So cut the round holes into slots and riveted some mesh on.

You've seen the turbo red mini making a cuppa tea. Well, I always need a biscuit with mine!

The suspension is a bit bouncy as I haven't put the rear shocks on yet.

Got all my extended suspension nuckles on and they work!

Didn't see this till today.

Couldn't you have bought some Austin Metro ones? 5 minutes machining & they would have been done.

Nice work on the knuckles all the same, it seems they have done the trick.

There's a HUGE difference in the shocker lengths and they seem to have been done pretty quick.

The speed with which you're able to dunk a biscuit is impressive, almost to the point where this could be made in to an active suspension system !

The off side rear was a bit lower, so 3 washers packed the nuckles to the correct height.

What drill bit should you use for a Hobnob - masonry?
