Hiya fellow nuts. I will be building a Classic Hot Rod Mini this year for racing round the 1/4 mile ovals. The engine will be a 1380 A+ with appropriate mods but which clutch would you types advise, Verto or pre-Verto? I`m not overly sure what the difference is beyond what one sees on the clutch cover so if anyone can enlarge my knowledge I`d be happy to learn. That attached pic is artwork and just for your enjoyment.Attached File  Mini hot rod 2 front.jpg   36.25K   1 downloads

Pre Verto can be lighter and are the type normally chosen.

Verto can handle more power for less cost and wear and are often chosen by the turbo road cars. but they are heavy.

I would go pre verto.

Pre-verto unless you want to do the RTS conversion on a verto so it uses two springs - do a search on Turbo Minis for details.

Thank you people, pre Verto it is. Funnily enough that`s what I chose for my road car but that was more luck than judgment at the time. Thanks again.
