Could anyone provide me with a picture or two of where on the bulkhead the fusebox mounts? 

i bought a good 2nd hand loom a few years ago for my spi, i thought it was mounted below the dash inside but looking at putting it in car now and it appears the fusebox mounts in the engine bay. i didnt know minis had the fusebox with 12 - 15 blade fuses in the engine bay!

does it mount to a bracket or is it fixed direct somehow?

The inside fusebox is an mpi model.

Spis had both the 4 way glass fusebox and 24 way blade fusebox, depending on year.

The blade fusebox mounts on top if the brake servo mounti bracket.

I hadnt come across a 24 blade ox in the engine bay of an spi befroe. 

 

are you sure of the mounting? the relay box sits on top of the servo bracket? the fusebox be beside that servo bracket?

Was going by memory, but it mount in that area.

I have a 24 blade fuse box in my spi and it sits in exactly the same place that a 4 way glass fuse box fits

I choose the same place in my SPI 1993. Works excellent and since then no further problems with these flying fuses.
