Makrolon Or Lexan Windscreen ?

The laminated glass windscreen on our circuit racer is cracked, top to bottom. I am considering the options to either replace it like for like or with plastic/perspex.

 

Of the two suppliers I have found so far, one uses  ' Makrolon ' and the other ' Lexan '. Are they the same material and does anyone have experience of using either of these ?

just make sure it polycarbonate and scratch resistant treated.

I thought windows other than laminated glass were only allowed for windows other than the front screen. Check the Blue Book as I may be wrong for racing, but that is certainly true for rallying.

Are they road legal?

     Yes, they are allowed in the Mini 7 Racing Club series regulations and

 

      No, they are not road legal.

I've used one for 3 seasons now from acw Motorsport,no marks from the wipers or anything, just a few chips from gravel
