Morning all. My partner decided to start selling a few little things on eBay, things she had managed to pick up quite cheap. As she is on maternity leave at the moment, she was just going to see if it would be worth it to make a few extra pounds. As it turns out, with the items she had, probably not.
However, eBay have sent her an invoice for fees which appears to be too much (it's only a really small amount) but it's the principle of it. Anyway, I have had a look around eBay to try and find some way to contact them to get them to look into overcharging her and changing the invoice, but I cannot find anything at all. It seems that the only way you can do it is by calling them, but there is no way I am doing that and spending ages on the phone over a couple of quid.
Personally, I had enough of eBay a while back. It's gone from something that was frankly pretty awesome to an absolute cluster, inundated with rubbish stuff (including far too many fake items, to the point where you can't ever guarantee getting a genuine item even at a normal market price), utter tat filling every search you make, incorrect fees, etc. I have been fortunate and not had any real problems with buyers but add that to the mix and t'snow just a rubbish business.
Any thoughts on how to chase this down much appreciated. If there isn't something easy to do, I'll think we will simply close eBay and PayPal for good.
Thanks. And end of rant.
