The problem with that is you will be left with the mounting holes visible.
Maybe panels you can swap out.
I could live with the visible fasteners.

I did something similar a while back, cut the holes with a 50mm cutter and then on theback of the holes I used a fine wire mesh bonded to the bonnet to stop too much crap getting in, the best mesh that I found and it was cheap too was the stuff from Halfords which you would use for fibrelass repairs, was about £2 for a piece the size of A3 paper.

So thinking about cutting two ovals like this mini
mocked up some cardboard
I have spoken to arc angels who will make a FG panel the shape of the bonnet. I thought it would be a good idea too use this in bad weather.
Something this shape, but fitting the count ours of the bonnet

If you are going to have a removable panel for bad weather, why not mount it on the inside? That way when the panel is off you will see nothing off it just the holes, no mountings / fasteners?
That is a good idea!
I have ordered a panel from arc angels who will mould it to the contours of the bonnet.
I had thought of using Dsuz fasteners, but I haven't quite thought through exactly how.
With the panel on top as I had thought it will look fine with the panel on (with the dsuz closed), but not so good with the panel removed I.E non finished holes.
Anyone have any other tips for fasteners?

A bit of an update on the bonnet hole and cover panel also. I cut two holes in the front of the bonnet and had a panel made up by arc angels to match the contours of the bonnet, the i sea is I can use the panel in bad weather to keep all the muck out.
I will add a thin rubber edge trim/seal on the holes. Which will cover up any unevenness (in my cutting and the changing thickness of the fibre glass).
The panel is held on with two quarter turn "Camloc" fasteners. Really nice little things. The panel itself I think I will leave without a rubber edge trim.
A quick test drive the improved air flow, really felt like it made a big difference.
