I'm waiting for my mini to come back from the body shop for a full respray. Engine needed a clean up. Stripped down, all clean and put back together. Just waiting to get my mini back now.

Looks awesome. How much did that cost you? Who did it?

I did it my self. Striped the engine down, cleaned everything, (GUNK spray foam), cleaned it all again using degreaser, to remove any grease/oil, etch primed everything, then used Motip engine spray paint, new gaskets, new nuts and bolts, new head gasket, new water pump, leads (few other new bits), then put it all back together. Didn't cost a great deal, just time and elbow grease. Wire brushes and tooth brushes!!!!!

Well, you've set me a benchmark there... if I can get anywhere even close to that I'll be a happy chappy.

Damn it. Wish I had them skills.

It really isn't difficult to do once the engine is out. The key is patience, degreaser and silver paint.
